The UPSHOT platform is built to elevate women’s basketball by creating access, visibility, and development opportunities for players and coaches. What is UPSHOT?

The UPSHOT League is a new professional women’s basketball league, featuring incredible women’s basketball talent from around the world.

When was the UPSHOT League established?

The UPSHOT League was founded in January 2025, and its first season tipped off in May 2026. The inaugural season featured four teams: Jacksonville Waves, Savannah Steel, Greensboro Groove, and Charlotte Crown.

How many players are on an UPSHOT roster?

Each UPSHOT team has a roster size of 11 players, with five on the court at any time.

How long are the quarters?

Games consist of four 10-minute quarters.

How long is the shot clock?

The shot clock is 24 seconds. Teams must attempt a shot within this time frame.
